About your therapist
My interest in bodywork began in the early 1980's. I gained a Diploma in Remedial Massage from the Northern Institute of Massage. I am currently an honorary member of the London & Counties Society of Physiologists.
I have also completed courses in Thought Field Therapy and Allergy & Environmental Illness. I began my career in The Bowen Technique in 1994 and became a registered instructor for the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia in 1997. In the same year I became the first chairman of the Bowen Association UK, a position I held until 1999.
In 1998 I was the first Academy Instructor to hold Bowen training courses in Italy. These initial courses helped to eventually establish The Bowen Association of Italy. In 1998 I was also invited to the first North American Bowtech conference in Boulder, Colorado to take part as a conference speaker.
In 1999 I also initiated Bowen training courses in Norway and Cyprus. Then in 2000 I taught the first Bowen course in Spain. In addition I organised & chaired the first ever Bowtech European Conference in Cyprus in 2001 where speakers from all over the world were in attendance.
As a Senior Instructor for the Bowen Therapy Academy I have been involved at many levels in the development of Bowen Technqiue in the UK and in 2005 was granted Lifetime Membership of The Bowen Association (UK).
My teaching work in Europe has helped to pave the way for several other Academy instructors to continue to work in these and other European countries too.
In October 2008 I was a speaker at The Bowen International Conference in Winchester UK where I gave a presentation entitled "The Butterfly Effect - What You May Not Know About Hypothyroidism".
Since retiring from teaching Bowen my main focus is on developing the application of Bowen in my private practice, working alongside my secretary and wife of over 30 years, Lorraine. We have two married daughters and our grandsons Daniel and Joshua.
